In this video, you’ll learn how to upload your own files to your VMs, using Assets and the shared drive. You’ll then learn how to load .iso files onto VMs.

If you can’t access the Internet from a browser inside your VM, you won’t be able to use the Assets page to transfer files to and from the VM. Instead, use the shared drive to upload files to the VM. For instructions, see Adding and sharing files with the shared drive.

Try it now

Transfer a file from your VM to your local machine using the Assets page:

  1. Access the desktop of a running VM.
  2. Within the VM, sign in to Skytap and open the Assets page.
